Waking Up Waking Up

Welcome to my new blog site. I had a blog I really liked called Architecture & Other Habits, then another I didn't like so much called Architecture & Other Habits Too. The second was a riff on Crazy Horse Too, the dancing club in Las Vegas, but it never really tripped off the tongue, so it stalled.
Waking Up is Hard to Do is a new venture reflecting darker times, yes, darker times, and waking up is what we all have to do. The card above says it all, even if the turntable it sits on (a Goldring Lenco from the seventies) isn't shit at all (quite the opposite), and neither is that Mayfair calendar from 1977.
Thoughtfully the card does say (within) that all will be wonderful. It certainly can be, even if that sounds a little utopian. I will be revisiting utopia in these posts, because one of the surest things I can tell you right from the off, is that the postmodern sensibility has sold us down the river.

But of course I would say that; I own sixty or so books by or on the subject of Le Corbusier.
So lets see how we get on...
